This makes me so sad. It's our incompetent, divisive leaders that should leave. Not honest, hardworking, freedom-loving Canadians. Best of luck to you and I hope things improve here and entice you to return someday. I hope things improve for my sons' futures too.
Oh, this brought tears to my eyes. We are still in Canada feeling caged as you put it. Still fighting but looking at how we can escape to Mexico as an option.
I wish you all freedom in Mexico! Totalitarianism is spreading everywhere. History is repeating itself under the disguise of Covid instead of Antisemitism. Separate the vaxed from the unvaxed. They are the evil uncomplying ones. We must eradicate them before they poison the rest of us. Separate them from the population, tax them, put a badge of shame on them, starve them out. Squeeze them until they comply or disappear. It’s for the good of the people! They say. Destroy them so the rest can live. Sounds familiar?
Thank God (for the moment) that I live in a red state of America. Our Governor has never fallen for these tyrannical mandates, “passports”, masks or destroying families, businesses and relationships! We are, and have been open since the beginning. I’m a Realtor in Florida and have been working with people from blue states, Canada and even Europe. People looking to get their freedoms back. There are still pockets of resistance everywhere.
Don’t you feel like the partisans in WW2? History is repeating itself. Jews were first shunned and isolated into ghettos for “spreading” tuberculosis then concentration camps, then annihilate the “vermin” for the safety of the people.
You all want to leave but make sure you are leaving to the right place. Make a plan before you do. Make sure the place you are going to has the same values you live by and that you have a plan for supporting yourself and family.
And if you don’t, resist resist resist. America is the peoples country not the 1% and I believe we shall prevail!
The main difference between Canada and America is that we still have our guns! Pockets of freedom are everywhere, find your pocket!
Good luck to you, my Canadian neighbors! I wish you all well!
I am so sorry...but I totally relate to you. I used to love coming home to Canada after travelling...I would almost kiss the ground and be so proud to be Canadian...not anymore....
Thank you for this. Finding it challenging these days. I’ve questioned Mexico myself as we have a 1 year old and I want her out. This isn’t the canada I once knew and loved so dearly. Hoping we can connect somehow and I get more info from you!
We are in Oaxaca state, Huatulco and Puerto Escondido are nice. I'd suggest touring around and find what community you like best. Good luck on your move, we felt it was worth it.
We would love to be able to get to Mexico. Pls email jen@soldlocal.ca. Also I think it would be interesting to hear how you all are adjusting to life as a transplanted Canadian living in Mexico. I applaud your bravery. The world is insane right now.
Hey Chantel, nice to meet you…… I resonate so much with the grief of leaving Canada. My family came to La Paz, BCS. I see you are in Oaxaca, are you near Hualtulco?
We're feeling imprisoned and caged. We would have left by now but have 2 elderly dogs and can't face putting them down. Also not sure how we'll continue to have access to our bank accounts. Finding it harder each day. We are gene-therapy free and plan to stay that way.
Good luck to your and your family in Mexico. Enjoy freedom.

Yes ! I am in there too. Just trying to know some options right now. Thank you!
Where to go and live in Mexico. Any suggestions? I’m leaving with my daughter and granddaughter unvaxxed.

Thank you for the info. It’s so complicated. Great article it captured exactly how I feel.
It isn't easy, but if you're motivated enough it will work out.
Glad it resonated, took me a while to figure out why I was so upset. I think it's the first step in healing, so hoping it helps others.
Hi, Joanne! We are also looking at opportunities to leave Canada. Do you think it is possible for unvaxxed to escape?
Yes. I won’t say here. Send me your number or email and we can talk.

Yes we are. Maybe we'll have to meet in Mexico. Hoping this movement makes a difference ❤

We left Canada and are staying for a few weeks in Mexico before heading back to our country of origin to stay with our families. We feel every word!
How do u feel now?
Relieved to be out of Canada for the time being.
